PUBG Mobile hasn't stopped printing cash for Tencent since it was released in March 2018 and it has now reportedly reached a major revenue milestone. The mobile counterpart of the battle royale shooter has now surpassed $3 billion in revenue and has been downloaded 734 million times - a startling feat indeed!
Even as more competitors try to enter the battle royale mobile space PUBG Mobile has not shown signs of slowing down, with its revenue doubling in the last eight months. Revenue is said to have peaked in March 2020 - a time which saw most of the world enter lockdown due to the Covid-19 outbreak. It should be noted too that the figures for revenue and downloads also include Game For Peace, which is the Chinese version of the game.
Are you surprised by these figures?
