When Respawn Entertainment started teasing the imminent launch of Apex Legends, a fair few people rolled their eyes at the prospect of yet another battle royale game. Now, exactly one month after the game launched as a free-to-play title on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, it's an altogether different situation as Respawn's Vince Zampella just confirmed on Twitter that in the weeks since launch a staggering 50 million players have tried out the game.
"Thank you to the 50 million players that have shown up in the first month since Apex Legends launched! You have all made this something special and there's much more to come!"
