A new 12-team CS:GO league is reportedly starting in March

A new report from Dbltap claims to have heard from sources that a new CS:GO league will kick off in March with 12 teams, including a LAN final each season as well as three tournaments.

It'll cost $2 million USD to enter this league, according to the report, and the team will receive part ownership once they do so. 'B Site' is the working name for the league, being set up by B Site Inc, and Cloud9 and Immortals Gaming Club have allegedly helped create this.

The regular season will be one month long, followed by a final, with the regular season occurring on LAN via a points-based system. The top eight teams get to go to the finals, and the first final is set to take place in Europe, although it's expected to alternate between North America and Europe.

This competition won't restrict teams from competing elsewhere, but it's expected to overlap with the ESL Pro League in an attempt to avoid circuit events and Majors. Astralis has declined to take part in the ESL Pro League and will participate in this league, according to the report, although Lukas 'Gla1ve' Rossander has said that no final decisions have been made just yet.

Two seasons of the B Site league will take place each year, with a total prize pool of $2 million, and 10 teams will pay the entry fee, including revenue sharing. The other two, however, will enter via a qualifier and won't get revenue sharing, although they also bypass the entry fee.

Lastly, the league won't use the same revenue model as the ESL Pro League and Blast Pro Series, as the report states, and instead B Site will directly compensate players with a starting revenue share number of around $1.04 million.

This is all far from confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt for now, but can you see this happening?
