The Rage Japan Invitational, one of the first events highlighted by Valorant's newly-launched Ingition Series, took place over the weekend and it was Absolute Juniper who took the crown. The team netted a grand prize of ¥500,000 after steamrolling through the competition and toppling LAG Gaming in the grand finals.

The untouchable team didn't suffer a single loss throughout the competition when facing off against opponents, such as Avalon Gaming, SunSister Rapid, and Nora-Rengo.

The Ignition Series, as we previously reported, was launched by Riot Games to help shine a spotlight on Valorant's flourishing competitive scene. The Rage Japan Invitational and the G2 Esports Valorant Invitational, which also took place on June 19, were the first two events to be supported through the Ignition Series. The next Ignition Series event will be the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, a North American event set to take place next weekend.
