The New York-based esports organisation Andbox has announced its entry into mobile esports with a new Call of Duty: Mobile roster. Designed to reflect its Call of Duty League team, the New York Subliners (NYSL), the mobile team will be known as the NYSL Mayhem, and will feature several players and staff members from the team formerly recognised as Trovo Mayhem.

"Call of Duty: Mobile is a massively popular game globally and it was important for us to establish a team to represent New York given the size of the market, our leadership position in it, and our existing deep roots in the Call of Duty franchise across all platforms," said Rohit Gupta, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Andbox. "Our presence in mobile gaming and esports puts us in a strong position to engage an even wider, diverse audience of consumers which in-turn provides brands and marketers with a clear point of entry to this increasingly valuable space."

This will make Andbox the first CDL team owner to have a team in both the CDL and in CoD: Mobile, and also marks the fourth team in Andbox's array that represents New York City: the other most prominent one besides the NYSL being the New York Excelsior Overwatch League team.

According to the announcement post, the NYSL Mayhem will have complete access to Andbox's resources, including the coaching staff of the NYSL, and the content and marketing teams.
