Danish CS:GO team Astralis have solidified their status as the best team in the world with plenty of competition wins this year, and now they've added another trophy by winning the Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 6 finals over in Arlington, USA.

Despite the fact that many would consider them favourites, they actually advanced second from their group after a 2-1 loss to MIBR, who got the first place finish. They went on to beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1 to set up a rematch with MIBR though, and this time it was a different story.

It was a close final, as the first map on Inferno was 16-14, while Overpass went to overtime, eventually ending 22-20 in Astralis' favour.

MIBR has struggled for success recently, so even though they fell at the final hurdle this is still a good sign for the future.

Did you expect Astralis to win?
