The Danish esports organisation Astralis has announced that it is parting ways with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen. With Dupreeh and Zonic playing for Astralis since 2016, and Magisk being tied to the organisation since 2018, this marks quite a massive change to the Astralis core, which over the course of 2021 has been altered significantly, with various new signings and players, as the team looks to return to the same form that made it one of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in the world.

Announced over Twitter, Astralis said, "Today, we bid farewell to three Astralis legends. Best of luck, Peter, Emil and Danny. You will forever be a part of the #AstralisFamily. Thank you for everything. We will see you later."

Speaking about leaving Astralis, Dupreeh said over Twitter, "Today has marked the end of astralis this time around. I'm proud of everything we achieved, everyone involved in and outside of the game. You've made a part of who I am today, and I couldn't ask for more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Update soon".

Zonic also shared a short statement over Twitter, saying "Six years with @AstralisCS and it is time to begin a new challenge. Astralis the team, players, fans and staff will always have a special place in my heart and it will forever be my home. I wish them nothing but the best..."
