Yesterday Ubisoft hosted a livestream for Beyond Good & Evil 2, but if you missed it we don't blame you, as last night also saw The Game Awards take place, alongside a whole load of announcements and trailers that came with the ceremony.

Anyway, Ubisoft has been kind enough to summarise the livestream content in a new dev diary which we've included below, giving us some vital details, including that we can play the game either online or offline, with co-op available in certain situations to those who want it.

Exploration was also a key focus for director Michel Ancel, who talked about four players joining to form a squad that can go out and explore the procedural world, even being able to design their own ships. There is some bespoke content, however, including characters and locations, but a lot of this will tie into the central story. NPCs can be recruited too, including legendary characters you can meet, which will be a big part of the experience.

We also learn that the team has tripled in size since E3 back in June, and that feedback is still being gathered to tweak and refine the ideas within the game. For more on what was discussed, either check out the short trailer below, or the full livestream here. Are you impressed by what you've seen and heard?
