When Anthem launched back in February questions were raised about various areas, including the grind for loot, story, and longevity of the experience, and while the game's reception was lukewarm to say the least, Bioware did have a roadmap of content to release following the game's launch, bolstering the offering.

Well, last month we found out that much of this content is getting delayed in order to prioritise other areas like bug fixes, leaving some fans concerned with how the game will be supported in the future. Mass Effect: Andromeda, for example, saw all post-launch DLC canceled after its negative reception.

Bioware's head of live service Chad Robertson is one of the developers who is reassuring fans about the game, as he took to Twitter to say:

"We remain 100% committed to Anthem and look forward to showing players the new content we are working on. We want to make sure we aren't overpromising, so our updates on what's coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion."

Bioware lead producer Michael Gamble retweeted this, adding:

"There's been a lot of (incorrect) speculation on this. The studio's support and commitment to anthem HAS. NOT. CHANGED."

As stated by Gamble, Robertson and Ben Irving - both of Bioware Austin - are the ones to talk to regarding Anthem now, who've "got a big team between Austin and Edmonton focused and motivated for improving the game," according to the former.

Anthem

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"It engages and entertains even if it is a rather distilled and disjointed experience compared to the studio's usual work."
