BLAST Premier has officially announced that the World Finals for this season will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates this December. Set for between December 14-18, the tournament will be held at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in the city, and will boast a $1 million prize pool.

"As part of our host cities process, we are always on the lookout for leading locations and arenas all around the world, Abu Dhabi is the perfect location to follow on from this month's highly successful Spring Final in Lisbon and November's Fall Final in Copenhagen," said Charlotte Kenny, managing director at BLAST Premier. "The World Final will follow in the footsteps of popular sports such as UFC, F1 and NBA in hosting major events in Abu Dhabi and the remarkable Etihad Arena provides the perfect stage for our World Final event."

We're told that tickets for the event will be announced at a later date, and likewise, as for the full line-up of attending teams, that will be decided following the conclusion of ESL Season 16 and the ESL Rio Major.
