Yesterday, we reported on the British Hurricane's stunning victory at the Overwatch Contenders Gauntlet, where the team blitzed all of its opponents to make for a straight first place finishing season. Well, today unfortunately, we have a little bit of sad news as the team will be bidding farewell to its longest serving member coach Joshua "Elbion" Tuffs.
Elbion, who has been part of the organisation for two years, since the beginning of the 2019 season has seen immeasurable success as part of the management staff. Over his stay with the Hurricane, the team played in ten different major tournaments of which seven they won, and never dropping below a semifinals finish.
While it's difficult to know how much of an impact Elbion had on the team, no doubt with this stellar record Elbion is receiving a few offers here and there from Overwatch League teams. With Hurricane General Manager Ysabel "Noukky" Müller now taking on the role of the London Spitfire GM as well, you have to wonder whether she is bringing Elbion up to the big leagues with her. Only time will tell however.
