Activision has revealed that fans can finally get their hands on Call of Duty: Mobile starting October 1, as this is the free-to-play release date for the title, which even has a new trailer to go with this announcement.

A tutorial will get you into the basics before throwing you into the full game, featuring content from across the series, including Modern Warfare and Black Ops franchises. There's even a battle royale mode, as we've come to expect since Black Ops 4.

You can customise your loadout, win scorestreaks in-game, rank up to unlock other characters, and play a variety of modes like Gun Game and Search & Destroy, so there's plenty in there to see for fans.

If you just can't wait, you can sign up here to receive game updates and information, although if you're in Australia, Canada, or Peru - where the game has already launched - you can expect to simply retain your progress after this launch date.

We got our hands on the game at E3, and you can read our preview here. Is the shooter a good fit for mobile?
