Coaches will get a sixth headset in CWL Pro League matches

There have been calls to allow coaches on stage with the players, but this change will let MLG assess how to progress.

Last year eUnited's Call of Duty coach Brian 'Saint' Baroska spoke out about concerns he had with coaches in Call of Duty, as they're not allowed to be on stage with the team like in other esports, and now MLG co-founder Adam Apicella has taken to Twitter to reveal some changes taking place.

"After assessing feedback we will be adding a 6th headset to the main stage for Pro League to allow for Coaches to more easily communicate with their team between maps," he writes. "We will assess how this rolls out and adjust accordingly for Open events."

You'll notice that the stage isn't mentioned in this announcement and so it seems as if the coaches still won't be allowed to stand behind the players as we may see in other esports, but at least it's a step in the right direction and shows that feedback is being taken on board.

Is this a good change for the scene?
