Kumite in Tennessee is a fighting game tournament that was hosted from January 6-8, seeing players take part in tournaments for games like Street Fighter V and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, but it was a match for Mortal Kombat X that saw some controversy.

As shown in this clip, Semiij of Gut Tough Gaming was playing a match against Killer Xinok when someone's controller pauses the game. This then happens again before then entering rest mode, obviously disrupting the fight, with evident frustration from both players.

Semiij went on to win the fight, and although the commentators saw the funny side, we bet the fighters didn't. Have you ever had something like this happen to you?
