DC Universe Online has been around for more than 10 years and the super-powered MMORPG still going strong. What's more, is that soon it will find a new home on Nintendo Switch. With this being the case, we were able to grab some exclusive Switch gameplay at E3 2019, plus creative director SJ Mueller shared her thoughts on this version while playing.

While not in the demo, in a real game there would be "tons of NPCs and enemies, and there's also a bunch of other players too. 30, 40 people can come swimming by any moment - not right now, but when we're live and out in the wild".

Focusing on the Atlantis map, Muller said: "We are just so proud. Look at these long views, you can see from like a mile, under the sea, with all those post-processes, all this foliage and the bubbles. It's like a technical achievement. We are really, really proud of this map. Even before Switch, and now we are ecstatic that it's running so smoothly. It's so beautiful. We feel like we didn't have to compromise that much at all to make this game look amazing on Switch".

If you are not familiar with the character in the demo that's because this is not an existing superhero.

"It's not just another game you can play as any other superheroes from the comics, you make your own. Like, whatever you imagined when you were a kid - or an adult, we're not gonna judge - it's who you want to be in the DC Universe".

Take a look.
