A year ago Square Enix and Dragon Quest heads Yosuke Saito and Yūji Horii announced that both Dragon Quest X Online, as well as the new Dragon Quest XI for PS4 with DQX also coming to NX (DQXI was also being considered for Nintendo's new platform). Now, a year later, it seems everything is going according to plans, as Saito himself has shared developments on the online game, confirming it's still being developed for both platforms.

The Japanese producer spoke to Weekly Famitsu magazine joined by director Chikara Saito, and both confirmed the game will launch well before the eleventh main entry, while the original DQX (already available in Japan for several platforms, including Wii, 3DS, Windows PC and Wii U) will be updated to version 4 soon.

With Dragon Quest X for NX, Square Enix became the first third party publisher to show support for the still secretive platform.
