Element Mystic wins Overwatch Contenders Gauntlet

The Korean side beat Atlanta Academy in the final of the international event to lift the trophy.

The Overwatch League may have already come to a close, but the Overwatch Contenders Gauntlet tournament has just wrapped up this past weekend, with the Korean side Element Mystic lifting the trophy.

In Group A they beat Talon Esports 3-2, before facing XL2 Academy, defeating them 3-1 to sit at the top of their group. In the playoffs they then faced Atlanta Academy, and again this was a close 3-2 match that went their way.

After beating RunAway 4-2 they had a spot in the grand final, and Atlanta Academy had to beat XL2 Academy, Gen.G Esports, and RunAway to book their spot in the final from the losers bracket. They couldn't repeat their success in the final though, losing 4-1 as Element Mystic came out on top.
