This past weekend CS:GO fans were treated to the grand finals of the ESL One competition in Cologne, where Team Liquid and Team Vitality faced off for the $125,000 USD prize and the trophy, and it was world number one side Liquid who added to their trophy cabinet.

Team Liquid impressed from the group stage, as they defeated MVP PK, NaVi, and NRG Esports, proceeding to the playoffs as a result. Vitality had to bounce back from losses against Fnatic and Heroic to set up a match with NRG in the playoffs, defeating them and then Astralis to get a spot in the grand finals.

After beating NaVi once more, Liquid were also finalists, and won the first map on Overpass, with Vitality leveling things out with a 19-17 victory on Dust II. Inferno and Mirage went Liquid's way after that though, and they were champions as a result.

Who can stop Liquid?
