Dallas, Texas, hosted the Season 5 finals of the ESL Pro League this past week, and French team G2 Esports defeated Danish side North in the final to win the trophy and $225,000 USD in prize money.

In the playoffs G2 only dropped a single game, and that was in the final to North, having comfortably beating both SK Gaming in the semi finals to get there. North also looked strong going into the final, beating Team Liquid 2-0 in their own semi final, but unfortunately they go another tournament without a win, something they'll no doubt be disappointed by, especially since two maps in the final saw G2 win by a margin of at least 10 points.

With G2 winning the DreamHack Open Tours last month as well, they're quickly becoming one of the teams to watch in CS:GO. Did you expect them to win?
