Back when the Call of Duty League was revealing its teams in 2019, Faze Clan revealed that it would be competing under the new franchise of Atlanta Faze, a team co-owned by Atlanta Esports Ventures (an organisation co-run by Cox Enterprises and Province Inc.).

The esports organisation and the investment firm joined together to cover the expensive $25 million buy-in for the league, and now, two years down the line, Cox Enterprises is looking to strengthen its bond with Faze with a new investment.

The amount invested by Cox has not been disclosed as of yet, but it is said to be deepening the partnership between Faze and Cox for the future.

The CDL team co-owned by Faze and Cox has become the most successful team in the league so far, winning three Majors this season alone, and also achieving the best record in the 2020 season. The team will be looking to take home the Championship this weekend at the CDL Champs.
