FunPlus Phoenix had a pretty disappointing run at this year's League of Legends World Championship, failing to really make a run at all, which was quite a surprising development since the team was the runner-up in the LPL 2021 Summer Playoffs and the top team coming out of the LPL 2021 Summer season.

Since that run at Worlds, the organisation has announced a few changes to its active roster, revealing that both Gao "Tian" Tian-Liang and Jang "Nuguri" Ha-gwon are departing for the team, with no mention as to where either player will end up just yet.

While FPX does have quite a large roster, it worth noting that the contract for the team's main mid-laner, Kim "Doinb" Tae-sang, has officially come to an end, meaning FPX will have to make a decision on whether it wants to extend or let him explore free agency.
