The Los Angeles Valiant has announced the signing of another new member to its Overwatch League team. Weida "Diya" Lu will be returning to the OWL after leaving it back in late 2020, when the Shanghai Dragons released him following their third place result at the 2020 Playoffs.

Since then, Diya has made an appearance in Overwatch Contenders, where he played for the Dragons' academy team, Team CC, for a little while. Needless to say, Diya has fell off the radar in the competitive scene since he left the Dragons, but that hasn't changed the Valiant's mind in adding him to the team for the 2022 season.

While the Valiant is keeping on a bunch of its 2021 players for the next season, as part of the Diya signing announcement the team stated "For the first reveal of our 2022 player roster", which suggests that we can look forward to even more announcements from the organisation ahead of the OWL returning in April 2022.
