MAD Lions has announced that it is stepping away from competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The esports organisation has stated in a tweet that the decision will see its players and staff being released, with the org working to help secure each member a new role elsewhere.

Here is what MAD Lions has said:

"Today we close a chapter of MAD Lions. After a long time competing, we say goodbye to our CS:GO division, as well as our current roster.

We've put our players on the transfer list and will work with them to find new homes.

Thank you to all the players/staff who played with us."

Despite struggling to really make a dent in the CS:GO scene, MAD Lions will be leaving a legacy with one major win under its belt, the 2020 Flashpoint Season 1, where it defeated MIBR to take home a $500,000 cash prize.
