Last night's action in the Esports Championship Series (ECS) for CS:GO was disrupted following a bomb scare at the ECS studio, as shared by analyst and caster James Bardolph on Twitter.
"So indeed we had to evacuate the building as there is potentially a bomb on the promenade immediately outside our office, fingers crossed nobody gets injured," he wrote.
This meant the match between the former Luminosity roster and Cloud9 continued without commentary, and the ECS Twitter page confirmed that the scare was because of a "suspicious package left in a trash can".
Later on Santa Monica Police tweeted that "there is no threat to the public from the item placed in the trash container near the 1400 block of the #3rdStreetPromenade. We anticipate the area will reopen in before 10pm. We appreciate your patience & cooperation."
