It has been reported by AFKGaming that Sergio Aguero's esports team, KRU Esports are eyeing up Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as their next expansion title. The team of which has roots in FIFA esports has been claimed to be in talks with Ignacio "Meyern" Meyer, a former MiBR player.
Meyern, who is 18 years old, has bounced around South American CS:GO teams, with MiBR being the most notable one. Joining KRU Esports as a star-player will provide the young talent a great opportunity to further showcase his talents as he looks to establish a more permanent position in the scene.
KRU Esports was only announced in October, meaning this decision to expand to CS is one of its largest. The report does also state the other team members negotiating with KRU, who will play alongside Meyern to be; Gabriel "1962" Sinopoli, Luca "Luken" Nadotti, Maximiliano "max" Gonzalez, Nahuel "nhl" Herrera. Looking at these names, KRU should have a capable team on a regional level, but looking on a more global scale, the roster might struggle to compete with the powerhouse teams across the scene.
