G2 Esports has announced the signing of a brand-new Team Manager for its Rainbow Six: Siege roster. Mikko "ProtaX" Mutanen will be joining the organisation in the role, taking over the position from Julius "Mayne" Ylänne.

The team has also stated that whilst ProtaX will be the Team Manager going forward, Mayne will not be going anywhere and that information regarding that change will be coming soon.

G2 themselves have seen varied performances across the past year. Being regarded as a super team line-up, the organisation placed in second at the Six August 2020 Major - Europe and the Pro League Season 11 - Europe, however, at the 2020 Six Invitational, the team didn't make it past the quarter-finals and only managed to make the 7-8th position.

Due to Rainbow Six Siege esports essentially being wrapped up for 2020, we won't know how the team fares with this new staff change until competition begins again in 2021.

Do you think ProtaX can help the team achieve the victories they are capable of?

"It's in competitive multiplayer where the game shines. The matches are short, intense and always surprising."
