Altiora Esports has announced the intention to join the Rainbow Six: Siege North American League following the combination of the Canadian and US divisions. However, due to issues regarding a tight timeline from Ubisoft, Altiora will have to drop its Canadian team in favour of building a new roster for the NAL.

Altiora owner Joe Guaneri spoke to Dot Esports recently on the matter, saying: "Altiora has accepted the NAL license offered by Ubisoft on Jan 5. and is in the process of forming a new team. Due to the transfer window beginning on Feb. 22., the new team is not yet finalised. Unless Altiora encounters any other stipulations from Ubisoft, this should be set in stone."

Altiora has also released a statement over Twitter that states they are "exploring ways that we can continue to support this Canadian team and also the Canadian ecosystem as a whole," although what exactly this means for the former Altiora roster remains unclear at this time. You can read the full statement below.

With the Six Invitational 2021 set to begin in early February, lasting until February 21, the logistics of moving a team to Paris for the event, before shifting them back to North America for quarantine before they can even compete in the North American League that is slated to begin on March 8 simply doesn't add up unfortunately.

As for the Six Invitational, you catch the action right here.
