This past weekend was a mixed bag for Evil Geniuses, as while the North American organisation saw heartbreak at the Six Major finals for Rainbow Six: Siege, in Ohio their Call of Duty team won the grand finals of the Call of Duty World League Championships; the biggest event in the calendar.

On the road to the final EG looked very strong, defeating the likes of Team Kaliber and FaZe in the playoffs, but it wasn't always dominant, as their match against FaZe was tight at 3-2, and they lost by the same margin in the grand final of the competition for Kaliber to reset the bracket, coming out of the loser's bracket. EG made it count where it was needed though, bringing it back to a 3-0 win in the final match of the competition, sealing the title for themselves.

Were you surprised to see EG win?

REVIEW. Written by Ford James

"The campaign is phenomenal, and the Zombies mode is probably the best it's ever been."
