Florida Mayhem has just taken to Facebook to reveal their Academy roster for the upcoming season of Overwatch Contenders, and among them we can find ex-Spitfire player Hyeon-woo 'HaGoPeun' Jo, who has joined the team.

"During my time in Europe I scouted the region for talent together with our academy staff," Mayhem coach Vytis 'Mineral' Lasaitis said. "We wanted to ensure we turned every stone in pursuit of the best upcoming talent in every region. We were pleased to find a happy medium between unknown gems waiting to blossom, and established veterans who can help lead the way. The trial process was long and exhausting, but we are very happy with the players we've found. There is naturally a lot of catching up to do, but the entire group is hungry to learn and we aim to be a force to be reckoned with, come playoff time."

HaGoPeun joins Johannes 'Shax' Nielsen; Damon 'Apply' Conti; Carl 'Crems' Aspehult; Nolan 'Paintbrush' Edwards; and Otto 'Milkyman' Sarén on the team, with Ronald 'Renanthera' Ly as head coach and Justin 'Reprize' Hand as assistant coach.

"I am incredibly honoured to join the Mayhem family, and thrilled to begin working with such promising and ambitious young minds. This iteration of the Mayhem Academy roster has been built with the cultivation of talent in mind. I believe our team to be highly skilled and full of latent potential to be highlighted in this season of Contenders," added Renanthera.
