The Florida Mutineers has announced the signing of a new player joining its roster as a substitute for the 2021 Call of Duty League season. Travis "Neptune" McCloud will be part of the franchise team as a back-up player to be slotted in when his talents can be used to the best of his ability.

This signing will mark Neptune's first time in the Call of Duty League, where he joins a roster of players that has been completely rebuilt from the 2020 season. As it stands, the Mutineers are looking to field Colt "Havok" McLendon, Cesar "Skyz" Bueno, Joseph "Owakening" Conley, and Josiah "Slacked" Berry as its main active team, although there are always opportunities for Neptune to make a claim for a starting spot.

There is still no official date as for when the Call of Duty League will return, although last year the season did begin in late January. With this being said, the Overwatch League (the opposing major Blizzard esports league) has had its start date pushed till Spring, meaning it wouldn't be unusual to see the CDL do the same.
