Fnatic has made the decision to move its Academy League of Legends team to the Spanish Superliga, after previously exiting the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). Revealed over Twitter, Fnatic will be joining together with TeamQueso to create FnaticTQ, the brand that the roster will be competing under when the Academy league returns in 2022.
FnaticTQ has yet to officially announce its roster, but if we look into Riot Games' Global Contract Database, we can see that Magnus "Maxi" Kristensen, Louis "BEAN" Schmitz, and Rúben "rhuckz" Barbosa from Fnatic Rising (Fnatic's NLC team) have all had their contracts changed to FnaticTQ, with each contract set to expire in November 2022.
As for when the Superliga will return in 2022, Riot Games has yet to officially set a date for that.
