The Brazilian esports organisation Furia has announced that it has split with Nike, and will now develop and produce its own line of apparel and clothing. The decision comes via a Twitter post, after reports that the team would be splitting with the clothing titan started doing the rounds yesterday.

The statement from Furia reads, "It is with this spirit that we announce the future launch of our collection of a gamewear and sportswear line, where we will design, develop and produce our own collection."

Further down this very statement, Furia also touched upon its relationship with Nike, mentioning, "Our partnership with Nike remains alive, now focusing on special collaborations. Let's develop products together whenever opportunities come up!"

There's no reason exactly as to why Furia is exiting its multi-year deal with Nike, when it is only two years into the partnership, but a report from the Sports Business Journal has revealed that issues with the production scale of Furia's products is a contributing factor.

The announcement also reveals that Furia will be launching a new e-commerce platform where it will sell its new products directly.
