To get you in the spirit of the biggest release month of the year here's a compilation of some of the interviews we've conducted on November's big releases over the year.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
November 4

"There are probably ten more things that we haven't even talked about yet. So to Glen's point with three years, focus on innovation, just to come out today here at Gamescom to say 'look, this is the most innovative, biggest offering of Call of Duty with the exo transforming how you play. Let's just show it and see how people react and we've been really happy with how it's gone." - Michael Condrey, Sledgehammer Games.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection
November 11

"Everything's going to be 1080p and 60 frames, with the exception of - we're still working on the campaign for Halo 2 for 1080p. Just bringing it onto Xbox One, immediately, before we did anything, just looking at Halo 4 on Xbox One and Halo 4 on 360; there's a pretty amazing difference." - Bonnie Ross, 343 Studios.

November 13

"Here we're really taking a look back at the roots of Warcraft, the roots of the Orc, at the roots of the Horde. And familiar characters like Gul'dan and Ner'Zhul who later went on to become the Lich King and Grommash Hellscream father of Garrosh, and many more who live and fight and occupy this savage world that players now get to visit." - Ion Hazzikostas, Blizzard.

Assassin's Creed: Unity
November 13

"We can have a game that is more open because we have all of those legacy elements that we've learned through multiple iterations. Like, we know how to make this game varied, and because we also knew how to make it more open - although it was very challenging and we couldn't do it before - now we just decided to bet everything on it right, and really try to work very hard, for the past four years actually, to get a mission structure that actually works like this." - Alex Amancio, Ubisoft Montreal.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
November 14

"There were some things where we were going 'you know what? we should have added this last time'. We added this this time and really bring it to life and really kind of bring these characters to kind of feeling different. So when we've got people like Shazam and at a button press you can instantly, he shouts the magic word and turns into Billy Batson. Stuff like that's really cool. And we love the reaction when people get to play the games and they almost find them out of secret. So you're running around as Superman and boom he turns into Clark Kent so he flies off and Clark Kent arrives and then you're like 'haha, that's really funny' and to turn him back you press it again and a phone box appears, Clark Kent jumps in, Superman jumps out." - Phil Ring, TT Games.

Far Cry 4
November 18

"What we ended up doing was actually embracing the freedom even more," Soulban explained. "We shifted over from having a story [in Far Cry 3] that was driven about the character, which means that the player is almost the chauffeur for all the actions that the character needs to do. And we shifted it over to say no, this in no longer about the character's story, this is the player's story." - Lucien Soulban, Ubisoft Montreal.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
November 21

"One of the big goals for Dragon Age: Inquisition is to ensure that the characters in the party, the characters you meet, complement the other characters. So you want to make sure, you don't want to have characters that are all the same." - Aaryn Flynn, Bioware.

Little Big Planet 3
November 28

"It [3 new characters] brings a whole new level of puzzle and co-operation to the game. And also opens up a whole new can of worms for the creative community." - Sarah Wellock, Sony Xdev.
