The David Beckham-backed, London-based esports organisation Guild Esports has announced the signing of another member to its line-up of competitive Fortnite players. 2020's number one ranked Fortnite player in Europe, Tai "TaySon" Starčič will be joining Guild for the 2021 season of Fortnite.

At only 16 years old, TaySon has earned over $200,000 across 28 individual Fortnite events, but will now be using his position as a member of Guild to hopefully make a dent in the Fortnite Championship Series for 2021, as well as the competitive scene for the year in general, which features a record-breaking $20 million prize pool.

"2020 was a landmark year for Guild Esports and Fortnite, with our talented roster dominating the competition to make us the current number 1 Fortnite team in the EU," said Grant Rousseau, Guild's Director of Esports in a press release. "Signing TaySon shows that we have no plans to slow down in 2021 - we're ready to take things to another level and cement our position as the Fortnite team to beat. We're the squad to watch out for this year, and we're ready for our rivals to try to catch us."

TaySon's first appearance as a member of Guild Esports will come in the FNCS season qualifier, set for February 5.
