Inaugural Rainbow Six: Siege World Cup announced

Former basketball player Tony Parker was also revealed to be an ambassador for the competition.

Today during the Ubisoft Forward event it was revealed that a Rainbow Six Siege World Cup event will be taking place in Summer 2021.

The showcase detailed that the inaugural competition will see 20 teams participate in the main event and more than 45 countries participating in the qualifiers. Esports Director, Francois-Xavier Deniele, said: "The Rainbox Six World Cup is a new layer of competition of our esports ecosystem and will be the first time we have a country-based competition for our esports title."

Former basketball player Tony Parker was also revealed to be an ambassador for the competition.
