Is Fortnite getting a Trios mode?

The ever-growing, all-consuming Fortnite has Solo, Duos, and Squads available right now, but currently there's no option for those of us who can only scrounge up two other friends at any given time. Sure we can squad up, but that puts us at a severe disadvantage against real squads with four players.

That might be about to change though, as a Twitter account called Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite News has found something interesting in the game's files, indicating that Trios might be included in the future, as you can see below:

Epic hasn't confirmed anything as of yet, so we'll treat this as a rumour for now, and take it with a grain of salt. That said, it'd fill a pretty sizeable gap left in between Duos and Squads, so it makes sense.
