Esports organisation compLexity Gaming has revealed on their website that Kyle Freedman is no longer a member of their Dota 2 team, and the accompanying statement from VP and general manager Kyle 'Beef' Bautista explains why this is the case.

"Earlier today I informed Kyle Freedman that he was being removed from his position in our Dota 2 team and released from the organization. This action is a result of our Dota 2 team's unanimous opinion that the personality conflicts within the team were too severe to continue. Based on that information, myself and other Complexity management made the decision to move in a different direction," he explained, before going into the background of how he came to work with Kyle in the first place.

"Kyle's time with our organization has been one of determination and self sacrifice," Beef added. "He put others around him before himself and did what he thought gave the team the best chance to win. I am confident that if he finds the right group of players to surround himself with, Kyle will be a world champion in this game. His strategic mind, drive to compete, his tenacity, and his unwavering determination are simply too great to quit without accomplishing that goal. It's a shame that it couldn't be with us."

Kyle took to Twitter to talk about the decision himself, saying: "It's been a hell of a ride with coL. 1296 days to be exact. On day 1, I said I wanted to win two TI's. Zak, Beef, I wish we could have brought at least one home together. I love you guys. Tomorrow is a new day 1 and my goal is still the same. You're only a failure if you quit."
