A recent EA earnings call has provided a lot of information about the various games under the EA banner, but Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad also brought us some interesting information regarding esports for the sports titles EA offers.
In a tweet we find out that over half a billion minutes have been watched across FIFA competitive events like the various FUT Champions Cups, just to name one example. If you're a Madden fan though, you might be interested to hear that the Madden Bowl tournament broadcast to ESPN2 gathered seven times more peak concurrent users than the year before.
Going back to FIFA though, the same call revealed that there are over 100 million players across all versions of FIFA, so it doesn't seem as if EA's sports titles are going anywhere soon, whether that's with casual players or competitive ones.
