CS:GO side NaVi hasn't always experienced the most success in the field for the past few months, but they've got something to be pleased about now, as they lifted the trophy at the StarSeries Season 5 competition in Kiev, Ukraine this past weekend.
They weren't flawless at the start of the tournament, losing to Mousesports earlier in the competition, but in the playoffs they won where it counted, beating SK Gaming 2-1 before enacting their revenge on Mousesports by the same margin. This set up a grand final with NRG Esports, who had defeated North and Team Liquid, and NaVi took the title after a convincing 2-0 performance.
Overpass and Mirage were 16-8 and 16-7 wins respectively, so NaVi probably looked their best in the grand final, and it'll mean more to them considering this was a win on home soil. All props to NRG though, because they would have surprised many by reaching the final no doubt.
