This Thursday saw players compete in the B/R Battle for the Belt tournament, a new event starring professional footballers and NBA players organised by Bleacher Report.

Josh Richardson (Philadelphia 76ers), Alex Caruso (LA Lakers), John Collins (Atlanta Hawks) and Larry Nance Jr (Cleveland Cavaliers) have been competing with the likes of Manchester United player Jess Lingard and US internationals Tyler Adams of RB Leipzig and Weston McKennie of Schalke 04, in addition to Spain and Real Madrid player Marco Asensio.

In yesterday's match, el cashico, Nance (playing as Chelsea) won 4-3 against Weston McKenzie (playing as Manchester City). In the other, Marco Asensio (playing as Real) took on the NBA's John Collins (PSG), with the Madrid man winning 7-3.

The day before, Josh Richardson (Real Madrid) defeated Man Utd's Jess Lingard (Barcelona) 4-1 and Alex Caruso (Manchester City) lost to a golden goal by RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams (Paris Saint-Germain).

The first semi-final, Josh Richardson vs Tyler Adams, is due to take place here, tonight at 5pm BST.
