Rome II fans looking for a return to Antiquity have some good news today. A new DLC pack, Desert Kingdoms, is to be joined by a free content update where players will receive
fully playable female faction leaders and generals such as Cleopatra and Teuta. Other important female characters have also been added to all campaigns and factions. All this, and more, lands in Total War: Rome II on the 8th of March, a very fitting date, if you ask us (it's International Women's Day, if you don't know)
The Desert Kingdoms Culture Pack also introduces four new playable factions, forged by the harsh environments of Africa and Arabia's deserts: The Kingdoms of Kush, Saba and Nabatea of the African/Arabian subculture, and the Masaesyli of Numidia. Each faction boasts unique new rosters of differing military strength, new building chains, and new technology trees.
You can take a closer look at these four factions in the Desert Kingdoms trailer, which you will find here, and you can find more information about the free update and the culture pack here.
