It's nice to know that AIs aren't all out to get us, as some of them actually provide useful services - like making old games look great again.
Through the mod called Morrowind Enhanced Textures, modder DassiD says they've managed to upscale Morrowind's textures by four times the original resolution. This mod utilises Enhanced Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Networks (ESRGAN), and is said to be an upscaling method for generating realistic textures.
