Journey, thatgamecompany's unique and thought provoking game, walked away with six of the eleven awards handed out at last night's Games Developers Choice Awards - an event that took place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The Playstation exclusive title took home Best Audio, Best Game Design, Best Visual Arts, Best Downloadable Game, the Innovation Award, and the Game of the Year Award.

Arkane Studios won the Audience Award with Dishonored, while Subset Games picked up Best Debut with their rogue-like sci-fi adventure FTL: Faster Than Light.

Best Narrative went to TellTale's The Walking Dead, Best Handheld/Mobile to Fireproof Studios' The Room, and Ubisoft picked up Best Technical for their stellar work on Far Cry 3.

Former Bioware men Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk picked up a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Steve Russell picked up the Pioneer Award (he created Spacewar! over 50 years ago), while the Chris Melissinos was acknowledged for his work at the Smithsonian American Art Museum's The Art of Video Games exhibition.
