Hotline Miami sequel detailed

Dennaton, the dev team consisting of Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin, has confirmed that the sequel to Hotline Miami will finish off the series, with the first game's protagonist - "Jacket" - making an appearance, but only as a non-playable character.

"It's the grand finale, for us," Wedin told Joystiq at this year's GDC. They also confirmed that the game would be set in the early 90s, and will focus more on emotional experiences.

The original is heading to PS Vita this summer, and Dennaton's talks with Sony mean that the sequel may well ship on Sony's handheld at the same time as it does on PC.
