Xbox One pre-orders open

Last night High Street retailer GAME confirmed that they are to immediately start taking pre-orders for Microsoft's newly announced next-gen console, Xbox One.

The retailer is taking orders with a £20 deposit, and based on the amount of pre-orders for PS4 following Sony's announcement of that console, they're expecting a lot of interest in Microsoft's offering.

GAME's Charlotte Knight urged devoted fans to get in on the action sooner, rather than later: "It is worth reminding everyone who's interested in the Xbox One that many console launches have seen demand significantly outstrip supply, so we would urge anyone wishing to  get their hands on a Xbox One from launch to place a deposit with our store  teams or online as soon as possible."
