Star Wars is invading Disney Infinity, and a lot of our chat with producer Mathew Solie focused on that fact, but we also covered the new developers adding their touch to the game, the Inside Out playset and Marvel.

"We have three playsets that are Star Wars themed coming out," says Solie. "One of them is named Twilight of the Republic, which is based around the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars franchise. The other one is Rise against the Empire, which is based of episodes IV, V, and VI. And then Force Awakens - and that's about all you're going to get out of me about Force Awakens."

"With the Clone Wars era set Twilight [of the Republic] we wanted to make sure it focused on lightsabres and the force. I mean the Jedis are at the height of their power," says Solie. "They're super, super awesome when it comes to combat. So it's like 'okay, let's go talk to Ninja Theory'. And Ninja Theory thankfully were like 'oh, we're huge fans we would totally like to work with you on a Star Wars game and Infinity'. So they came in and helped rewrite the entire combat engine with Avalanche. So from the ground up all of our combat has been revamped."

In addition to the three Star Wars playsets there will also be an Inside Out playset and one for Marvel from United Front Games that's still hasn't been detailed. Solie also helped sort out what's exclusive for PS3 and PS4 with Rise against the Empire and Boba Fett (the only way to play as Boba Fett this year is to buy the PlayStation exclusive set).
