It's only been a couple of weeks since the Nioh DLC named Defiant Honour was announced for Team Ninja's game, and yesterday it was made available on the PlayStation Store for fans to download for the price of £7.99.

Defiant Honour is part of the season pass, but you can also purchase it separately if you so wish, and here's the description of the DLC from the PlayStation Store: "A bitter winter in Japan chills the country to its core, and the stage is set for a legendary clash at the most impregnable fortress of the Sengoku era - Osaka Castle. In this story expansion for Nioh - Defiant Honor continues William's journey, pitting him and the recently allied Masamune Date against the Crimson Demon of War himself, Sanada Yukimura."

As a part of the DLC you'll be able to use new Guardian Spirits, Onmyo Magic, and Divine Armour, as well as a new weapon class called the Tonfa. If you've been feeling Nioh's a bit too easy, you'll also be pleased to hear there's a new difficulty mode being introduced as well.

At Gamereactor we're currently working on a review/impressions piece about the DLC, but in the meantime you can check out the launch trailer below. How have you found Nioh's previous DLCs?

Nioh: Bloodshed's End

REVIEW. Written by Markus Hirsilä

"Gathering and tuning loot to your liking is still one of the main attractions in Nioh. Considering how difficult Bloodshed's End is, it's also mandatory."
