The first season of Rainbow Six: Siege's Pro League came to a close this past weekend, which meant a winner had to be crowned, and it was EU side Penta Sports who won the trophy, beating out Brazilian team Black Dragons to do so.

Black Dragons' road to the final, however, was an interesting one to say the least. In the quarter finals, for instance, they beat top team GiFu, who have often struggled at LANs, by a score of 2-1 to face top Spanish side gBots, again getting a 2-1 win to seal their place in the grand final.

Penta Sports had a much more comfortable time in the quarter finals, beating Elevate 2-0 in the series, but they faced some better opposition against V3 Masters, losing one game in that series. The final itself, however was another 2-0 win for them, meaning they won the trophy and $75,000 USD to go with it.

Did you expect the final to be between these two teams?

"It's in competitive multiplayer where the game shines. The matches are short, intense and always surprising."
