Following the success of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 only a few months ago, PGL has now announced where the next Major will be taking place, with the location being Antwerp, Belgium.

Revealed in a press release, we're told that the Major will be taking place between May 19-22 and will feature a $1 million prize pool for the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in the world to compete over.

"We are glad to have the opportunity to bring back the fans and players together for another CS:GO Major. Belgium has an impressive Counter-Strike fanbase, and many legendary players were born in this country," said PGL's CEO, Silviu Stroie. "We are ready to offer an incredible experience for the fans inside the arena and the passionate viewers at home."

As for the finer details of the event, we're told that it will be based in the Antwerps Sportpaleis and that tickets will be available soon. Otherwise, it's also noted that Antwerp was chosen because the Sportpaleis is only 30 minutes from Brussels' airport.

While it seems like this event will go ahead at full steam, it should be mentioned that PGL is keeping an eye on the pandemic to ensure it can adapt the event if needs arise.
