Pierre Taki patched out as Olaf in Kingdom Hearts III

The actor was arrested for drug charges, and while sales of Sega's Judgment were suspended, Square Enix's game only requires an update.

Earlier this week we reported that Sega's game Judgment had been pulled from sale in Japan after actor Pierre Taki was arrested for using cocaine, and now Square Enix has announced (as reported in English by Polygon) that Taki's work will be patched out of Kingdom Hearts III as well.

Taki voices Olaf in the Frozen world of the game, as he has done in the films, but now will be replaced, with Square Enix promising further details in the future. This doesn't affect us in the West though, as Josh Gad reprised his role and Taki was uninvolved.

What do you make of this situation?
